80-ton Aluminium cold chamber PDC Die casting machine
80-ton Aluminium cold chamber PDC Die casting machine
An 80-ton machine provides ~800 kN of clamping force to keep the die shut while molten aluminium is injected at high speed/pressure. “Cold chamber” means aluminium is melted in a separate furnace and ladled into the shot sleeve (aluminium is too corrosive/hot for hot-chamber systems)
- Real-time shot control
- Closed-loop hydraulics/servo
- Robust tie-bar & platen design
- Die temperature integration
- Process monitoring
- Quick die-change
1.Typical technical specs (vary by manufacturer)
Clamping force: ~800 kN (≈80 tons)
Die height (min–max): ~180–350 mm
Tie-bar spacing (H×V): ~300–350 mm × 300–350 mm
Platen size (H×V): ~500–600 mm × 500–600 mm
Injection system: plunger with 2-stage speed (slow shot for fill, fast shot for intensification)
Shot sleeve Ø: ~40–60 mm
Max shot stroke: ~200–250 mm
Theoretical shot volume: ~250–500 cm³ (useful aluminium shot weight ~0.7×volume)
Specific injection pressure: ~40–70 MPa (400–700 bar)
Ejector force/stroke: ~30–50 kN / 60–100 mm
Dry cycle time: ~2.0–2.5 s; Typical cycle time (Al): 25–45 s (part-/die-dependent)
Drive motor: ~15–30 kW; Hydraulic oil tank: ~200–350 L
2. Required auxiliaries
Melting/holding furnace (gas or electric) sized to your hourly throughput.
Ladle (manual, servo, or robot), die-spray system, extractor/robot.
Die thermoregulators (oil/water), chiller/cooling tower for hydraulics and die.
Trim press, shot-blasting, CNC/deburr, leak test (as needed).
Vacuum system if you need low-porosity or heat-treatable parts
